Looking Forward To The New Football Season... - 31st July 2004 - 14:59 BST
-----------------------------------------------------
Only 1 week to go until the new football season starts (a week longer for Premiership footy). Leeds start their 1 season visit to The Championship division (before their return to The Premiership in 2005/6) against Derby, 12.30pm next Saturday and for those Leeds fans not going to the game, its all good as the game is live on Sky Sports. Leeds are in action today against Hibs in Scotland where their new keeper Neil Sullivan plays his first game.

I got my wish in Big Brother last night too. Michelle, the psycho Geordie got evicted. The only disadvantage of this, is that we'll have to put up with her on Big Brother's Little Brother all next week.

Get Michelle Out - 30th July 2004 - 19:20 BST
-----------------------------------------------------
Well it's Friday and I haven't bee so pleased to reach the weekend for a long time. It's been a long and stressful week! Tonight will be even better if I get back from going out to find Michelle has left Big Brother.

I finally got round to watching the original Shrek earlier on this evening. I ordered it off the internet and also tried to download it so I could watch it quicker (well, I had paid for the original and was waiting for it in the post so it's not that illegal!) but it wouldn't download. Then, last night when sorting my DVD Collection of home recorded films and programmes, I found that ages ago I had recorded Shrek from Sky Movies! It was on a DVD in a box for all this time. Anyway I watched it and enjoyed it. Not as good as the second one, but still very entertaining.

Also good news from Leeds United. They've signed Chelsea keeper Neil Sullivan. A great signing, especially for free. Can he win over the 1st team keeper spot from Scott Carson (the existing keeper) though?

Anyway, I'm off out. Hope Michelle is too!

Smith Scum - 29th July 2004 - 21:53 BST
-----------------------------------------------------
Alan "Scum" Smith scored his first goal for Manchester United yesterday in a pre-season friendly against Celtic. The Scum still lost 2-1 though and Fergie moaned that Smith could of scored 4. Well Fergscum, get used to this with Smith. He missed loads of sitters with Leeds. Smith is a hardworking player but a crap finisher.

Onto the subject of Big Brother, Michelle now seems to be the favourite to get the boot tomorrow. Great news, especially if Stuart continues to hang around Shell. How will Michelle contain herself watching her "Chicken" flirt with other women? We'll be able to see her go even more insane on Big Brothers Little Brother!

Leeds Impress - 28th July 2004 - 20:00 BST
-----------------------------------------------------
Unbelievable. Truly unbelievable. After all the problems from the Leeds United retail department I actually got the new away shirt in the post today EARLY! Even better they actually managed to deliver my free T-Shirt and Keyring along with it too. I am happy with them today!

To make things better, The Mighty Whites beat Darlington 4-2 yesterday. I'm starting to feel quiet confident about the new season now!

Aaah reMember wen yous used to make bread with meeee - 27th July 2004 - 22:40 BST
-----------------------------------------------------
Finally something interesting on Big Brother since Ahmed left. Michelle is NOT impressed with Stuart! He's baking bread too much with Shell and his Geordie girlfield is not happy. "Aaah reMember wen yous used to make bread with meeee" she slurred.

As every housemate is up for eviction this week, I hope to get Michelle out. Then she can watch her "Chicken" the vain, boring Stuart playing and baking bread with posh bird Shell.

Champions of Europe - 25th July 2004 - 17:21 BST
-----------------------------------------------------

Leeds United - Champions of Europe

WE ARE CHAMPIONS
CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE
WE ARE CHAMPIONS
CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE

Leeds United drew against Spanish League Champions and Uefa Cup winners Valencia today in a Pre-Season friendly. Many Leeds fans, myself included were getting a little worried following the previous friendly against Mansfield ended in defeat.

This was much better and brings hope for the upcoming season!

Shrek 2!!! - 24th July 2004 - 23:16 BST
-----------------------------------------------------

Wayne Rooney and Emilie Heskey??

I saw Shrek 2 at the cinema (two films at the cinema this week). Having not seen the first film I did not know what to expect. I was very pleased with it. It is a great film and very, very funny. John Cleese as the King and Jennifer Saunders as the Fairy Godmother are just superb. A great film, just have to see the first one now.

Meanwhile, in Big Brother, Dan is being his usual moaning self. When asked by Big Brother who deserves to win the competition he replied

"Not one person that entered this house deserves to win. Because where I come from Big Brother, you've got to earn a title of winner. So absolutely nobody".

What Dan actually wants to see from a housemate is a mystery. He thinks he is above every other housemate and Big Brother! What was the point of him going on the show if it was so bad!

Bristol City In Europe, ICQ & Big Brother - 24th July 2004 - 11:20 BST
-----------------------------------------------------
Bristol City in Europe. Well in Fifa 2004 anyway. I've updated my Fifa 2004 blog for the last few seasons I've played. I am now in The Premiership and after finishing 2nd behind league champions Arsenal I am in Europe!
You can see my Fifa 2004 blog here. Note: Fifa 2004 blog removed

Good news too about ICQ. Its working again, the servers at their end must have just needed to time out. So all good!

As I went out last night I haven't had time to watch Big Brother. Sky+ recorded it and I have avoided finding out who got evicted last night. I had to fast forward past the first sketch on last nights Bo Selecta as that often says. Better watch it later.

Bloody Technology - 23rd July 2004 - 19:13 BST
-----------------------------------------------------
Get in this evening to find that my internet connection is down. Well kind of down. Everything bar ICQ doesn't work! I ended up resetting the router to its factory settings and re-entering all the details again. It worked!

Then I reset both the PC and Laptop. Both have ICQ on and share the connection from the router. Both ICQ's tried to connect at the same time and as you are not allowed to have multiple connections, moaned like buggery.

I turned both ICQ's off and now I can't get into either! I just get the error
You have attempted to login too many times
Please try again in a few minutes
Info number: 0124

Well many, many minutes later it is still not working. It's damn annoying. I'm off out till later this evening - hopefully it'll have sorted itself out then!

Bloody technology. First Sky+ now this…

Spider Weather - 22nd July 2004 - 23:40 BST
-----------------------------------------------------

My new fan! Keeps me cool and spiders at bay

Not very nice July weather today! It's very warm and humid and the sky cannot make up its mind whether to be sunny or to piss it down. Another reason I hate this weather, is that it is "Spider Weather". I find the horrible creatures love to come into your house during the warm, damp conditions. I don't like them at all!

To combat the warm weather (not the spiders sadly), I bought a cool (excuse the pun) fan today. Keeps my room cool, is quiet so it can be left open at night and means the window doesn't have to be open as much, thus reducing the risk of spider attack.

I Finally Get My Leeds Shirt - 21st July 2004 - 22:06 BST
-----------------------------------------------------
I finally got my Leeds United home shirt in the post. Just 2 days after ordering over the telephone. I've learnt a lesion from this experience - never order from the online store, just use the telephone mail order service or the club shops.

Leeds United Retail may have delivered my shirt, but the players were not impressing on the pitch this evening, losing 2-0 to Mansfield in a friendly! The less said about this, the better.

Fahrenheit 9/11 - 20th July 2004 - 23:56 BST
-----------------------------------------------------
I went to see Fahrenheit 9/11 this evening. Good film, and even though it is a documentary, works well in the cinema. The film is basically a collection of interviews and TV footage about George Bush, the American Government and Military and how they handled events prior to and after September 11th. To put it blankly, it didn't look good for them.

I normally try to write more than this on the daily updates, but to be honest I can't think at the moment. Its late, I'm tired and ready for bed!

Sky+ More Like Bloody SkyX - 19th July 2004 - 19:35 BST
-----------------------------------------------------
Bloody Sky+
Turned it on tonight to find I only have 3% of space left on my hard drive!!!
I only have about 30% of recorded programs saved so something has eaten 67% of stuff and it wasn't Neville Southall!!!

Anyway, I found a link on the Digital Spy forums where I should be able to reset the hard drive. Annoyingly it'll erase all my saved programs, so I'm doing the long winded process of transferring them onto DVD - alright for some I know!

Good news about my Leeds shirt. The online store finally live again. I got the number from the site and rung them up. **SHOCK** somebody actually answered the phone and it was after 6pm - can Leeds United actually afford to pay their staff overtime?

Anyway, it turns out my order never arrived with them even though the website confirmed to me it had. I was told this sometimes happens. If Amazon's servers were that crap they'd be in a real state… like Leeds United

I ordered the shirt - again as well as the new away shirt which is out at the end of the month. I was assured this shirt will arrive on the release date. Hmmm… we'll see

Still No Leeds Shirt - 19th July 2004 - 17:26 BST
-----------------------------------------------------

Neville Southall. Football legend. Masters winner. Pie eater.

Day 15 - now half a month and still no Leeds shirt in the post. I decided to ring the retail department direct, cancel my order and get a relative in Yorkshire to buy me one and post it down. Go to the online store and find the bloody site is down! The retail department is an absolute joke!

I was flicking through the channels on Sky Digital yesterday and noticed Masters Football between Manchester City and Everton on Sky Sports. In goal for Everton was the ex-keeper Neville Southall. It brought back memories of when he played for Bradford City in his latter days.

What a right fat git he was! He was certainly a great keeper but made Peter Kay look anorexic! Its surprisingly how he was so good carry all that excess girth around. Mind you a lot of great footballers get accused of being on the porky side. Mark Viduka and Wayne Rooney for one. Some people say Emilie Heskey is fat and brilliant. I just think he's fat.

I Spy... - 18th July 2004 - 17:06 BST
-----------------------------------------------------
I now have a live webcam in my room so you can play as Big Brother and spy on me. My room is fairly large and has different angels so I will move the webcam around from time to time.

Don't expect the webcam to be on 24/7, it will almost certainly be off when I am at work and sleeping, no point in having it on. Even if you wanted to watch me sleep, it wouldn't broadcast anything viewable in the dark.

You can find the webcam here. Note: Webcam has now been removed.

Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!- 18th July 2004 - 00:01 BST
-----------------------------------------------------

It's not what you're saying. It's all this stuff you're not saying. Insinnuendos.

Shut up, cunt. You louse. You got some fuckin' neck ain't you. Retired? Fuck off, you're revolting. Look at your suntan, it's leather, it's like leather man, your skin. We could make a fucking suitcase out of you. Like a crocodile, fat crocodile, fat bastard. You look like fucking Idi Amin, you know what I mean? Stay here? You should be ashamed of yourself. Who do you think you are? King of the castle? Cock of the walk?

A marvellous quote from Sexy Beast there. Just finished watching the superb film (I have seen it before!). If you haven't seen it, I highly recommended it. One of the best UK films, ever made! Great acting and very funny!

Here's another great scene from the film

Don Logan (Ben Kingsley) arrives at Gary Dove's (Ray Winstone) villa to try and persuade him to return to take part in an illegal job. His friend Harry (James Fox) and wives all know what Don is like and sit nervously as he walks in. Cue an awkward silence

"How's your brother, Don?" Harry enquires.

"Malky? He's alright, I s'pose. He's Malky, innee? Dunno. You'd have to ask him."

"You patched things up with him?"

Logan stares at Harry without replying.

"How was your flight, Don?", Gary asks.

"It was alright."

Logan peers out of the window.

"So, this is a Spanish villa is it?"

"Yeah, this is it, Don," says Gary. "The old Hacienda."

"Bit remote, innit? Bit cut off?"

"No, that's what we wanted Don...Do you wanna look round?"

"Yeah, I will in a minute. When I have a piss."

Harry gets to his feet.

"Where are you going?"

"I'm just taking the ladies out for something to eat, Don. Thought I'd leave you two to it."

"What, ain't I invited?"

"No. I mean, uh... course you are, Don. I just thought..."

"Harry, I'm joking. It's alright."

He holds out a wad of notes.

"Here y'are, I'll get it."

"No, Don, that's alright. No need for that."

"H, behave. I'm paying for your meal."

Reluctantly, Harry takes the money.

"That's very kind, Don. Very nice of you. Very..."

"Shut up.

Mr. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang - 17th July 2004 - 20:07 BST
-----------------------------------------------------
Super, Super Leeds
Super, Super Leeds
Super, Super Leeds United!

The Whites won again, this time against Pitea IF. No, I've never heard of them before either, they sound more like a type of bread you would have with a curry than a football team!

Ex Bradford-Shitty, I mean City player Danny Cadamarteri scored the only goal of the game although it could have been a massive victory for Leeds if it wasn't for Pitea's superb goal keeper. Leeds are in search of a new keeper - why don't they take him home with them!!??

Something I don't think I have mentioned on here before, I am a big GoldenEye fan (the video game) and play it with three other friends on a regular basis. For some reason, our GoldenEye battles often turn very bizarre. People end up being physically hit, rooms messed up with spilt beer and pizza and a lot of noise emitted. Last nights session was certainly no different!

One of my friends had the very good idea of creating a GoldenEye Blog (online log/journal, a little like this site) of the results and activities that occur during these games. A Beta version of the site has already been uploaded to http:///www.sparkster.net/goldeneye, it will hopefully be fully built and online soon so keep looking out here for updates.

I've also discovered Cathedral City pickle dips today. Simply cheese and pickle in a packet. Very, very tasty though!

Boring Big Brother - 17th July 2004 - 11:12 BST
-----------------------------------------------------
So Ahmania is over. The voting public have now got rid of one of the best and indeed most volatile housemates in Big Brother history. The ironic thing is, is that in a weeks time when nobody is shouting, raging or pissing anybody off those people who voted Ahmed out will be the ones moaning! Anyway that's enough of that.

Still in a ranting mood, Bo Selecta was bad last night. Normally it's hilarious but I can honestly say last nights show didn't get a laugh out of me. Maybe it was because I was watching it later at night as I got back late and was tired. Avid Merrion on Big Brother's Little brother last night was great though!

It's Day 13 in the wait for the Leeds United shirt. Still nothing. No surprises there.
I had a dream abut Leeds United last night actually. Dreamt they won 2-1 on their opening fixture which is great! Shame James Milner scored both goals. In my dream I forgot he had been sold!

Wheres My Shirt? Wheres My Shirt? - 16th July 2004 - 18:48 BST
-----------------------------------------------------

The Leeds United Retail Department

Day 12 and still no Leeds shirt. I will be giving them a call soon and telling the monkeys to sort it out! It's a disgrace.

One final plea not to vote for Ahmed to leave tonight. Tactical voters should vote for Victor. Not a bad housemate in my opinion, but the favourite to go after Ahmed. If I had a choice of who would go though, it would have to be Stuart. The most boring and over rated housemate in the show.

Anyway a breakdown of the numbers to vote for…

Leeds Moans, Congrats & Big Brother - 15th July 2004 - 17:24 BST
-----------------------------------------------------
Well it's been 11 days since I ordered my Leeds United shirt from the Official Online Club Shop and unsurprisingly it hasn't turned up. They promised 10 days for delivery, which in itself is bad enough but this is taking the pi**.

Now, for the first time on my site some POSITIVE news from the world of Leeds United. The Mighty Whites won 2-0 against Swedish second division side Boden. OK, its not like beating Arsenal, but a win's a win, something that was rare last season! New boys Michael Ricketts and Brian Deane scored.

Finally, Big Brother fans have a choice this week on who to vote to leave the house with every housemate apart from Michelle and Jason up for eviction. This follows the army style task which they passed. Ahmed is the favourite to leave. We must stop this! He causes trouble in the house! He must stay!

The new Daz advert or the new John Smiths one?

Peter Kay on Paramount was so funny last night!

He's done another great John Smith's TV advert as well. I haven't see it on television yet, but you can see it on the John Smiths Website. It's great! Top bummin'!

Is There Anything They Can Do Right? - 11th July 2004 - 12:25 BST
-----------------------------------------------------

The 2004/5 Leeds United shirt. Expect to receive by August 2006

It amazes me how for years the Leeds United have stated they have massive debts, but still their online store and in fact even the club stops are dire. OK, most the money for the club comes from TV Revenue and tickets but merchandise and shirt sale must help.

It takes 10 days (at least!) to get orders delivered from the online store. Online stores for clubs like the Manchester United (scum!!) only take 3 days. The store is badly designed and there are hardly any of the products from the catalogue on the site. Then there's the p&p charges, £5.00+, while other clubs are £3.50 or less!

The club shops aren't much better, when I have visited its just full of crap and when I do see something good its either out of stock or in one occasion for me broken! I bought a set of pint glasses, beer mats and a bar towel. The mats were screwed up and towel missing. When I took it back there were no more in stock!

It would be so easy and inexpensive to sort out the online store and club shops.
How can the club expect fans to buy from the online store when they can go to Kitbag for cheaper and 2 day delivery! I ordered the new Leeds shirt from the online store over a week ago. It hasn't arrived and my bank account has not been debited so it could be more than 10 days. Unacceptable.

RANT OVER

Leeds United At It Again - 10th July 2004 - 17:28 BST
-----------------------------------------------------

I couldn't find a picture of thr Leeds United chairman, so used a horses arse instead

I got up this morning to the news that Leeds United's home, Elland Road was for sale! The thing chairman Gerald Krasner claimed he did not want to do, and to be honest I'm not at all surprised. He claims that Leeds will still be able to play there for at least another 25 years but it is getting increasingly hard to trust this idiot.

Sure, he saved the club from administration but he and the rest of the board (with the possible exception of former player Peter Lormier) are running the club like a bunch of monkeys. Take for example the sale of James Miler…

KRASNER: "Hey, I have a great idea. Let's sell that 18 year old wonderkid, who loves the club and plays for cheap and go after a 34 year old from Luton instead!"

OTHER BOARD MEMBER: "Great idea Gerald! Anyone else we can sell?"

KRASNER: "Well, Smith, Robinson, Viduka, Matteo, Harte and Barmby are all gone… so… no."

OTHER BOARD MEMBER: "Damn! Looks like it'll only be a five week Christmas for me in Barbados"

KRASNER: "Don't worry my son! I've had a great idea! Let sell the ground they play on!"

OTHER BOARD MEMBER: "But where will they play?"

KRASNER: "Well there's always my old school's playing field we could ground share with and if they don't let me we could always rent the ground back!"

OTHER BOARD MEMBER: "But didn't you say we had to reduce our outgoings by selling players to get the wages down? Surly paying rent for Elland Road will cost us and we could loose everything."

KRASNER: "Errr… errr… Just think of that holiday we'll be having!"

Ahmed Stays!- 9th July 2004 - 21:29 BST
-----------------------------------------------------

So Ahmed stayed in the Big Brother house and as he proved yesterday he really is a nutter. As I said the other day, its only a matter of time before he attacks a housemate, and he has done just that! Alright if you want to get technical about it, its not a "living" housemate only a plaster one, but I think its only a matter of time before he goes after flesh and blood!

Ahmed Must Stay - 7th July 2004 - 18:53 BST
-----------------------------------------------------

For every vote against me, I will kill you

Up for eviction this week in the Big Brother house is the insane, stubborn Ahmed and the boring, fame obsessed, talentless Becki. For the sake of television, Ahmed has to stay and Becki must leave, going back to low budget travel channels on Sky Digital.

You never know, if Ahmed stays long enough hey may finally crack and go after the housemates with an axe in a Jack Nicholson, Shining style killing spree. It's just a shame that Marco is not in the house as I am sure he would be the first victim. Mind you Ahmed doesn't see eye to eye with Nadia so may go after her with a sharp object hoping to remove vital organs - not the first time that's happened to Nadia!

Leeds Crap Leaving - 6th July 2004 - 23:22 BST
-----------------------------------------------------

In a Futurama style… "Good news everyone"
It seems some of the awful, over paid Leeds United players are finally going to be shipped off (or thrown out!)

Nick Barmby is off to Hull City which is great news, apart from the fact that thanks to Peter "Santa" Ridsdale offering him a massive contract, Leeds have to pay him £1million in a parting gift! Still, think of it like having a blocked drain in your house, you'd pay a plumber to come out and move the sh*t along, just like Leeds did to move Barmby on.

Ian Harte, quite possibly the worst defender in the English game and a mystery why he gets capped for Republic of Ireland's national team! Claudio Ranieri is supposedly keen to bring him to Valencia for £1.5million! I'd be happy if they took the greedy, overpaid idiot for free! Of course its slightly annoying Ranieri didn't take a shine to old Hartey at Chelsea, Leeds may have sold him for £20million!

That leaves Michael Duberry who Wolves are keen to sign - if Wolves the fans are keen on this than they're the opposite of "Glory Hunting" Man United supporters, and are acting like "Relegation Hunters".

As well as Gary Kelly who West Ham are keen on signing - do they actually want to be a Premiership side again!!??
