Wow, a lot has happened for me this last week (hence the lack of updates!).
Firstly I was offered a job in the local hospital’s IT Department providing network and computer support. I currently work in the offices of the hospital’s Maintenance Department but there is very little IT tasks available and as computing is an interest of mine (and I have many qualifications) this is a great move for me.
What’s more is this week I looked round a new place to live, was offered a place and accepted. I am renting a very large room in a house with a few other people. Very nice place and good value for what I am paying. Like where I am currently living it is just round the corner from my work so no transport costs.
The trouble with moving is that you have to lug about SO MUCH STUFF! Luckily this new place is only a short walk away but it is still a big job moving everything. Yesterday I took my massive shelves down, took them along and put them together. The whole contents of the shelves are now on my bedroom floor! I am moving most of them over to the new place and back onto the shelves this afternoon but at the moment the place looks like a bomb has dropped!
I took these pictures of the mess last night, will take some of the new room soon.

So Sven has finally been sacked. Although he hasn’t. He’s agreed to walk away with a pay off. Although he isn’t walking yet. Confused?
`
Time to go, time to go, time to go
Time to go, time to go, time to go
Time to go, time to go, time to go, time to go
TIME TO GO....
FUCK OFF!
Sven will leave his job after pressure from the media and The FA. He will leave with what sounds like a large sum of money. Great you would think, nope, Sven will be the manager up to and including the World Cup!
I dislike Sven, I have posted my views on the man here before. If it is now decided he has no future he has to go NOW. There is more than enough time to replace Sven before The World Cup.
Come the World Cup I will be fully behind the team but if we win I cannot give any credit to Sven. He has proven he is useless already and the England players have proven they are professional enough to manage themselves.
I have just finished watching the Arsenal-Wigan Carling Cup game. Superb management skills from Wigan manager Paul Jewell have lead Wigan to success and a trip to the final. This is the kind of manager we need for England. Not a clueless, incompetent Swede!
It’s painful as an England fan. Our country’s football team is being turned into a laughing stock!
Once Sven has gone can someone stop him working as a manager anywhere in England ever again? Apart from at an American owned Manchester club of course :o)
Lastly, remember that “Sven, Sven, Sven” song praising the manager? Seems a little stale now doesn’t it. Never fear, it can still be re-released! I have re-written the lyrics.
Sven Sven Sven Goran Eriksson
He`s a useless loser
I hope he fucks off home to Sweden
He hasn't got a clue
he doesn't fucking care
If we have Sven at the World Cup
we havent got a prayer
Sven Sven Sven Goran Eriksson
Give him half a chance
He'll take your job and your wife
Little Micheal Owen
left from Real to the Toon
If that wasn't for the money
He's a fucking loon
Tactics, tactics, tactics, tactics, tactics
Sven has none none none none none
Sven Sven Sven Goran Eriksson
He`s a useless loser
I hope he fucks off home to Sweden
Sven is set to cap Paul Gasgione
If Rooney gets a ban
And bring back David James
to save goals from Zidane
even that monkey head Peter Reid
would do a better job
first they'll have to find the scouser
he's probably on the rob
England England England we know our fate
The Irish beat us 1-0
although the goal from Healy was great
Portugal France and Brazil
put England in their place
you have to blame the gaffer
he's a fucking disgrace
Stevie Stevie Stevie Stevie Gerrard
he may have talent
but cannot play alongside Lampard
News of the World, they really stitched up Sven
Proving he is stupid
please tell us something new!
Sven Sven Sven Goran Eriksson
He`s a useless loser
I hope he fucks off home to Sweden

Good result for Leeds yesterday, 3-0 win against Sheffield Wednesday in the Yorkshire derby. They look certain to make the play offs come the end of the season, 2nd place along with automatic promotion would be nice but I can’t see it this year. Still, at least chasing promotion is better than fighting relegation.
Anyway, here is a commentary mix for the game.

A quick joke for Newcastle United fans…

Newcastle United manager Graham Souness was involved in a car accident last night. Luckily he survived and avoided serious injury. He did however suffer a broken leg and will have to spend two months away from his job. This is just one of a growing number of injuries for the struggling Premiership club. However, unlike the other injuries this latest one is being seen as a positive from the club.

Sven is in trouble again. The News of the World is publishing Part 2 of their fake interview with him in the Sunday paper where there will be more revelations. The latest of which are said to include alleged comments from Sven that the English Premier League is full of corruption.
Now I dislike Sven. I do not think he is the right man for the job and is untalented tactfully, however I think this trick from The News of the World is totally out of order. An English newspaper should be getting behind the team, and whatever we think of the manager he should be left to get on with the World Cup preparations.
The journalists working for the “newspaper” (if you can call it that) will be the first to congratulate the England team if they win the competition but will also slam Sven if they go out. Do they really think their news stories are going to help?
Sven is going nowhere prior to the World Cup. I’m not saying the paper should respect him or say he fantastic (I certainly won’t be) but they should offer support. If they want to sell newspapers by digging up stories then write one about the Brazil manager or Ronaldinho, cause problems in the Brazilian camp, you don’t shit on your own doorstep.
If you care at all about the England national team (or indeed consider yourself remotely intelligent) I urge you all not to but the News of the World this Sunday. If you find other papers too hard to read there is always The Beano, the writers on that are on a similar literacy level to News of the World journalists.
No time tonight to talk about the Leeds win this afternoon, will blog about it Sunday.

Online computer and electrical supplier Ebuyer have disappointed me. Three weeks ago I ordered a DVI cable for my new TV along with two packets of 50 DVD-Rs. The cable arrived on time along with ONE packet of DVD-Rs. For once the couriers were not to blame, Ebuyer only sent out one packet.
Since then I have tried to contact them, I have had once response and that wasn’t very helpful either. They seem happy to take my money but when it comes to providing service they don’t give a toss. I know two other regular customers of Ebuyer, both of whom have also had problems.
Here’s the current communication (or lack of it) I have had with them. I will let you know if I finally get a response or refund/DVD-Rs.

Unfortunately it seems than only 1 packet of DVD-Rs was delivered along with the cable.
Are these with the courier, yet to be dispatched or has only 1 packet been sent out in error?
Many thanks,

The remainder of the order has still not been delivered.
I work five days a weeks, Monday - Friday.
Last week I took a annual leave day off work on the original delivery date so that my order could be received. Apart from Saturdays there are no other days suitable for re-delivery.
If the remainder of order cannot be redelivered on Saturday 14th or Saturday 21st January I will require a refund on the DVDRs and the cost of postage that my bank account has been debited for.
Many thanks

My Latest Contact With EBuyer:
NOTE: OVER TWO WEEK WITHOUT A RESPONSE FROM THEM!
19/01/2006 18:45
Hello,
The order is still yet to be received. I am very unhappy at the fact that you have failed to respond in over a week since my last eNote.
It has come to the stage where I will now require a full refund for the missing order and the postage charges which have already been taken from my bank account some weeks ago.
If I do not have the funds in my bank account or a satisfactory response by 26th January 2006 I will have no choice but to report eBuyer to Trading Standards for not fulfilling a service.
I understand mistakes happen but I expect them to be resolved in a prompt manner. I have made many orders from you in the past, including one of high value last month. I feel disappointed at the poor manner you have dealt with this order.
Along with the refund I will also be expecting a response as to why the service was so poor in this case and why the communication from you was not forthcoming.

I’ve had to stop watching Celebrity Big Brother. It is so boring I think I may start vomiting blood if I watch anymore. I didn’t watch it last night due to football, didn’t both to record it and didn’t watch it tonight. I can’t see myself wasting any of my time with the remainder of the current series.
The house is full of boring, self-obsessed celebrities who are no good at singing/acting/or whatever the hell they do in the normal world. They are equally as pathetic in the house. So unless anything major takes place (e.g. a death) I won’t be tuning back in. Bring back John McCririck and Jackie Stallon!

Just a quick, late night blog to congratulate the Leeds United players on tonight’s performance against Premiership outfit Wigan. They may have lost on penalties but the overall performance of the team over 120 minutes was superb.
3 times Wigan took the lead and 3 times Leeds battled back to equalise. The final goal of the game, from Gary Kelly was outstanding. You'll have to see it to believe it, he doesn't score goals that often but when he does they're crackers.
If they can bring this fighting spirit into their league games promotion is well on track. Well done Leeds! There’s always next year.

Funny story in the media today, apparently Ruud Van “Horseface” had a fight with little camp boy Cristiano Ronaldo during training. Great to hear about trouble at my most hated club between two of my most disliked players! The scrap was most likely all over nothing. Ruud probably borrowed Ronaldo’s face cream or something….

"Hey Ronaldo! You bent bastard!"

"Ooooh! You're such a bitch Ruudy!"
Leeds United have signed a new player today, the Australian international Joel Griffiths. I have never heard of Grifflet before, he comes from some Swedish club and scored a goal for Australia the other month which helped them into the World Cup. The Leeds midfield isn’t the strongest in the league so if he’s any good he will be welcome.
Something extremely bizarre about this new player is that he appears to have a website. The website includes many strange sections, most notably this online chat with the webmaster. There even seems to be an e-mail address for the player on the site. I personally am very sceptical of the authenticity of this site and have asked him a series of questions (some of them trick ones) to see if he knows the answers :o)
Lastly, Leeds are on the telly tonight, they take on Wigan in the FA Cup 3rd Round Replay. They stand a very good chance of getting past the Premiership side, should they win Manchester City will be waiting in the 4th round.

So Sven has landed himself in some trouble after being totally naïve and gullible, falling for a setup by some tabloid newspaper.
To be honest, he only said what we all knew anyway…
Michael Owen was unhappy at Newcastle and only went for the money.
Well why else would a world class striker go to a second rate, midtable club that are out of Europe? Isn’t it obvious Owen went as a cheap ticket back to England, to put himself in the shop window again and for a payday?
Rio Ferdinand is lazy.
Any football fan that has seen Ferdinand play over the last 12 months will know he doesn’t put the effort in. He demands £120k a week and proclaims himself as the best defender in the world, only he and his mother can see that.
Beckham is frustrated at Real Madrid.
How many red cards has Becks received this season? He certainly is getting a bit of a temper. He was loved at ManU (by the fans anyway), now he is just another number on a white shirt.

Shaun Wright-Phillips was overpriced.
How much did Chelsea pay for him? £21million was it? You would have to be mentally retarded to believe SWP is worth that, even Sven isn’t that stupid.
Wayne Rooney has a temper and comes from a poor family.
Well duur, he’s a scouser! Only joking, seriously, look at his aggressive behaviour. It’s obvious he’s a thug and as for his family, wasn’t his dad quoted as saying that he wants to fight Wayne’s father in-law at the wedding?
Sven has already proven he is dense as a manager, myself, like most England fans have resigned to the fact he will be in charge for the World Cup as it’s too late to bring anyone knew in. This latest escapade just proves he is also stupid away from the pitch, as a professional you have to be so, so careful who you speak to. Sven really let his guard slip.
Finally Big Brother last night, when Michael Barrymore first went in the house I quite liked him. Now he is becoming ever annoying, moaning and crying to anyone who ticks him off.

His latest outburst was at George Galloway, who kindly offered round his cigars. Barrymore didn’t see the generosity in the offer and like a child focused on what he hadn’t been given. The whole conversation is cringe worthy and proves that Barrymore really need to think before he speaks. Have a listen here. WHY DOESN'T HE JUST LET THINGS DROP!!!???

Here are some interesting & funny pictures, videos and links e-mailed me by my friend Dan (from Daninthemix)…
Firstly a World Population Counter which goes up six new people every second. Very worrying if you set the predicted population to 2037!
Then there’s this disturbing link which is apparently doing the rounds on the net.
Here’s a video on how NOT to lift weights
And last but by no means least my favourite… have you ever seen anything this huge outside of a zoo?
It now seems to me that by the year 2020 the world will have 8,056,342,496 inbred freaks, wannabe macho men with broken backs and 50 stone party goers.
Thank you Dan for these funnies, if anyone else has any amusing and interesting links, e-mail me them, if I like them I’ll stick them on here. If I don’t like them they won’t appear on here and you probably won’t get a response from me.

I couldn’t help but notice the news about the Euromillions lottery. As nobody has won it for a while the jackpot for next Friday has risen to £85million. This is a sickening amount of money which I think even greedy ManU defender Rio Ferdinand would have difficulty finding a use for.

I have never played this lottery before (my twice weekly play on the National is enough for me) but with the crazy amount of money at stake I thought it was worth a one off flutter. Kind of pointless really, as if I won £85mill on Friday, for someone like me it wouldn’t make a huge amount of difference to if I won £10mill on the National one. Either way I would be stinking rich.
Good luck to whoever enters and if I don’t win I hope an owner of some orphanage gets the money, either that or a extremely generous Leeds United fan who will give manager Kevin Blackwell the whole kitty to spend. :o) :o)

I watched King Kong this evening (the new one starring Jack Black). Good film, it may have lasted 3 hours but it by no means dragged, unlike other long films like Titanic and Alexander.
This film has received some bad press so I wasn’t expecting a master piece. I think a lot of people have compared it to the original movie, which I haven’t actually seen.

Most of the film is set on Skull Island where Jack Black, a film crew and a troop from the ship which travelled to the island. They have to deal with ferocious dinosaurs, which make the ones from Jurassic Park look like Barney, some very creepy insects…. oh and a giant ape called King Kong.
King Kong is kidnapped and taken to New York, by which time he has fallen in love with the main female star Ann (played by Naomi Watts). He then inevitably escapes and wrecks havoc in New York. Hopefully I haven’t spoiled the plot line for anyone but I’m sure most of you could see it coming.
I actually found the film quite scary in places; the natives on the island were very creepy, especially when they gained entry onto the ship. Having a phobia of spiders also made the scenes with the CGI insects very uncomfortable to watch!
It was also sad in places, I never knew I would feel sympathy for a giant, hairy, stinking ape but when he died at the end of the film it was a very sombre moment for me. After all, KK never really did anything wrong, he was the one taken away from his home, imprisoned and then shot dead.
Overall a very good film, far better than I expected. Will watch again when it is released on DVD. Well done Peter Jackson, you haven’t ruined your reputation following Lord of the Rings.
